DHIRISTI PARIHARAM: METHODS TO SAFEGUARD US FROM THE EVIL EYE SYNDROME (PART - 1)

What are the remedial measures to be adopted in removing the Dhiristi?

We are going to read number of methods to be adopted for the Dhiristi Pariharam. You can follow or adopt any one or any combination of these methods to make you and your family secure.

1. Lighting up the Ghee lamp or Gingelly oil lamp in the pooja room both in the early morning and the evening time @ time areound Sunrise and Sunset. All the members of the family must take bath before (not during and not after) lighting the lamp. Additionally you can light up lamps near the main door of your house.

2. As per the Hindu Vedas, the time around the Sunrise and the Sunset (the time, which can neither be called as a daytime nor can be considered as night time), the negative forces gain strength. To avoid those negative forces entering your house, lighting ghee or oil lamp in Puja room, burning incense ticks and benzoin would deliver the desired results. Ringing the Puja bell during those time is a effective way of preventing the evil eye syndrome.

3. Take some cotton twines and dip it in yellow turmeric paste. Allow it to dry. Take a clean and bold lemon fruit and long sized green chillies. Pierce 3 or 5 green chillies into the twine and then pierce the lemon fruit in the middle and again pierce 3 to 5 green chillies at the top. Tie it firmly and properly. Just placec it over your main door.

4. This must be done either on Tuesdays or on Fridays only. The Lemon fruit and green chillies must not touch anybody's head, while anybody enter your house. The lemon and green chilly will begin to decay, if you posses Dhiristi in your house. In that case, you must remove it and safely dispose it in the dustbin (not within your house, but in the dustbin which is completely away from your house). The person, who trashes this lemon and green chilly should not do it, when he/she remain unclean @ without taking head bath. The person who disposes the decayed items must go to the bathroom straight after the disposal and must take the head bath (they must wet their clothes too).

5. After trashing the decayed items, another set of lemon and green chilly must be placed immediately (it can be done on anyday of the week).

6. If the lemon and green chillies must be replaced on the next Tuesday or Friday (nearly after a week), when there is no decay or the items starts to dry up. The lemon and green chillies must be disposed in the same way, as in the case, when it starts to decay. The lemon and green chillies must be compulsorily be disposed off, even if there is no decay or even, when it has not dried up.

7. If the lemon or green chillies start to decay often means that your family has been more affected by the Dhiristi or evil eye syndrome. But do not worry, keep the process repeated, until you get the right answer @ when there is no decaying of lemon and green chillies.

8. Do not cook or eat non-vegetarian foods on Tuesday and Friday. These two methods are an effective insurance and act as a counter force, if your family comes under the malefic effects of Dhiristi or evil eye syndrome.

We shall study more methods to safeguard our life and family from this Dhiristi or Evil eye syndrome in our subsquent posts.
